Here’s a suggestion that was sent in by one of our listeners to our feedback e-mail account:

So, the tv binge idea. It’s really simple. Pick a date, a start time, and a number of episodes. (6 or 7, like a marathon.) Advertise to get people involved.

With the official start times being every hour on the hour, watch the episodes in the planned order and live tweet. People can jump in and out depending on their schedule, or they can stay for the entire marathon. BAM. Done.

Basically, I’m proposing doing something of the same type for Castle. Maybe one episode from each season? Each host picks an episode, and then the remaining 4 are left to a vote? Or, each host could pick 2 episodes and make it a collection of 6. Either way. We have been starting at 12pm CST. Those times even work for international fans. With 6-7 full hours of television and live tweeting happening, we’re bound to be able to include quite a few people…

What are your thoughts on the “Castle Binge” idea? We could do a Johanna Beckett case binge or as suggested leave it up to a vote? Please feel free to leave your thoughts/ideas in the comments below.

  1. I like this. I generally don’t have time for long marathons, but it would be fun to jump in for an episode or two and still feel involved. 🙂

  2. Yes I like this idea even though I already watched S. 1-3 this summer. I can watch again.

  3. This looks eerily familiar. Hmmm…If people want to see how this works in practice, the Tv Binges gang is doing a Firefly tweetathon on July 14th. Event details: http://welovetvmore.com/features/tvbinges-browncoatbinge/

Shameless plug. Also, getting cast members involved to spread the word is a thing that has officially happened for our upcoming binge. If we do something with Castle, hopefully we’ll be able to do the same.
